Nicole Nadler is a three-time Fringer with her hits "Why Am I Like This?" followed by "Why Am I (Still) Like This?". This year she is changing it up by crafting a show facing all of her fears aptly titled 'Exposure Therapy'.
Nadler begins the show with a sharp monologue on the reason for the show and then allows the audience to write on sticky notes something for her to face in the following ways:
1. Truth or Dare
2. A date and she will read a diary entry from her teenage years from that date
3. A fear someone in the audience has.
Nadler is a gifted storyteller and is able to take simple suggestions and turn them into thoughtful answers. She is not afraid to be vulnerable and discusses how her last two shows were hit and this one hasn't reached that level and her feelings behind it.
The show has a ton of potential! Bringing in special guests, having pre-set stunts, etc. would be a perfect way to drive buzz.
Nadler has a sharp premise here and I believe is the performer who can build this and make it amazing.
As it is a work in progress I will give it:
