Is marrying for money really that bad?
That moral question is posed in Wummy, the story of a woman who is a wannabe yummy mummy.
She is a teacher in a dead-end job and relationship, and just discovered she is pregnant. She is determined to marry rich, and will fake their way to do it.
They sneak their way into the world of manifestation influencers and is able to secure a rich boyfriend, but at what cost?
King brilliantly explores the emotional tolls as well as excitement living in a rich world but being untrue to yourself.
Her audience interaction is second to none as almost everyone gets a role at some point. My favorite is when she plays a character leading a manifestation retreat and has three audience members draw their dreams, and then she critiques them in character in a beautifully balanced funny way.
By the end of the show, everyone cares for the well-being of her character and are in love with the actress.
A fantastic one-woman show with something for all to enjoy.
