ALONE is a two-hander, sci-fi horror that takes place in a spacecraft in the not so distant future. A scientist and pilot are working to find a bacteria that can lower the CO2 in the atmosphere to revive the planet.

They've been out there for five years and, if you've ever had a roommate for more than a year, you can already tell where their relationships stands: they have a deep love for one another but are overtly annoyed.

When everything on the ship suddenly goes wrong and they are faced with an impossible choice, ALONE becomes a piece about altruism, humanity, ego, and survival.

The actresses have wonderful chemistry and range with a breakout performance by Anthea Freya Hill, who plays Sarah, whose Shakespearean tone brings her performance to another level.

The second half is heartbreaking and has you on the edge of your seat, but a slow first half really hursts the momentum of the play.

If you like books like "Project Hail Mary" I think this would fit right into your taste.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
